I need your help. We are installing 9.2 database and want to test RAC technology. We got 2 custom systems with AMD chips and 2 GB memory and single CPU servers. Pretty fast.

For shared storage oracle supports NETAPP in NAS configuration, SCSI shared storage and fiber storage fabric architecture storage.

We tried going shared firewire drive, oracle modified kernel is not able to do non-exclusive writes and keep crashing my instances.
Oracle took their hands off and so did we on fire wire drives.

HELP ---

can anyone suggest for red hat as 2.1 what shared storage server we can buy keeping in mind the cost and 120 to 200 GB shared storage will do.

Please suggest some scsi or netapp shared storage we can get and from where.

I will really really really apprecaite it.
