Howdy:

I had removed an installation of Oracle 9i AS
and reinstall it in the same directory and
give it the same $ORACLE_HOME env setting.

After deinstalling the software, I rm -Rf <dir>
and resource and set the HOME and TMP settings

When I install again, the OUI gives an error:

[snip error]
Install has detected an invalid Active EMD Home
configured as <dir>. Possible cause for this
error may be a previous installation of O9IAS
that was not completely installed or deinstalled.
Please perform a deinstall on that home.
[/snip error]

I thought I did? At least, the OUI doesn't show
anything for those paths. And the fact that the
original directory's been removed doesn't help.

Q: How can I reset the OUI so that I can reinstall
this again?
