Hi ,

I hope the error comes for a table only . You may like to set event 10046
trace and give a select * from perl_Mast and may send it to the list ,which
may throw some light .I think the data dictionary related to the table or
index is corrupted .

ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel

Cause: An unexpected end-of-file was processed on the communication
channel; bug could not be handled by the SQL*Net (two task) software. This
message could occur if the shadow two-task process associated with a
SQL*Net connect has terminated abnormally or there is a physical failure of
the interprocess communication vehicle (that is, the network or server
machine went down).

Action: If this message occurs during a connection attempt, check the setup
files for the appropriate SQL*Net driver and confirm SQL*Net software is
correctly installed on the server. If the message occurs after a connection
is well established and the error is not due to a physical failure, check
if a trace file was generated on the server at failure time. Existence of a
trace file may suggest an ORACLE internal error that requires the
assistance of Worldwide Customer Support.

Hi gurus,

Hi i have a strange error here. I am not able to access a particular table
through SQLplus/Toad. Its is giving ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication
channel error.
So I thought of recreating the table. When i tried to export the particular
table, I am getting this error listed below.

Export done in US7ASCII character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
server uses WE8ISO8859P1 character set (possible charset conversion)

About to export specified tables via Conventional Path ...
Table(T) or Partition(T:P) to be exported: (RETURN to quit) > perl_mast
