So how are u responsible for this, Unless u have been asked to audit or
safeguard this piece of information.
As far as brining this records back, u can try and also success depends on
the backup policy observed in your organisation.
Also , it could be from the application, now u dont govern the rights on the
programming and logic of the application.
If I be in ur place, I would rather ask them to take a walk or jump in the
well.

Does the log entries that get generated also record the machine/IP Address,
program (Eg: SQLPLUS/ TOAD), osuser, username that executed the SQL?
I have a situation where some records were deleted by a user and now I am
being held responsible for that. Unfortunately, we dont turn on auditing on
our production databases.
Any help appreciated.
