RE: Question on Archive logging

RE: Question on Archive logging

Yes it does capture .Use logminer to get the culprit .If you know the exact
day when it happened then you can directly pick up the archive log and do a
log mining provided you have the archive logs for that time period .

Anyway the blame always comes on a DBA and Managers don't make the
application people responsible for that even if the application is poorly
designed .

All the best Raj in tracking down the culprit .

Subject: Question on Archive logging

Hi,

Does the log entries that get generated also record the machine/IP Address,
program (Eg: SQLPLUS/ TOAD), osuser, username that executed the SQL?

I have a situation where some records were deleted by a user and now I am
being held responsible for that. Unfortunately, we dont turn on auditing on
our production databases.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Raj
