Yes it does capture .Use logminer to get the culprit .If you know the exact
day when it happened then you can directly pick up the archive log and do a
log mining provided you have the archive logs for that time period .
Anyway the blame always comes on a DBA and Managers don't make the
application people responsible for that even if the application is poorly
designed .

Hi,
Does the log entries that get generated also record the machine/IP Address,
program (Eg: SQLPLUS/ TOAD), osuser, username that executed the SQL?
I have a situation where some records were deleted by a user and now I am
being held responsible for that. Unfortunately, we dont turn on auditing on
our production databases.
Any help appreciated.
