Aside from ensuring that you have all the pre-requisites such as swap
kernel limits setup, I have been using SuSE to run Oracle on Linux.

I currently run Oracle 10g on SuSE Linux 9.0 Professional for a
production web site. No problems.

Just one catch, to start the installer use the "-IgnoreSysPrereqs" switch

I will be posting more on this on my site at http://ocpdba.net so keep
