Re: Hw to generate Password file?

If you have a dba account to the db, simply change his/her password so that they can have a new beginning. Management should have critical passwords stored away.

use orapwd utility ....
orapwd file=PWDsid.ora password=****

PWD has to be capital... copy this file in oracle_home\database folder

also check init.ora parameter
remote_login_password_file=exclusive
