Hi all:

For the past several days I have been struggling to get OID setup for names resolution. I want to replace tnsnames (used here) with OID. I am testing this on Windows 2000 server. I will be migrating this to production on an AIX server (when the new server arrives). Meanwhile I would like to have a test environment.

I have been getting TNS-3505 and TNS-12154, when I try to resolve a service name. I have been searching metalink and not found much to help me.

I feel I am not doing something right here. Can someone point me to the right steps (documents) to follow to setup OID?
