In this area a few years ago there was a trend to get rid
all developers and DBAs. My partners and I had just implemented
several very large applications in Oracle 7.3. Before being
'laid off' they had us convert the data from our systems to
an inferior vendor package. It was really demoralizing. So, I
know how you feel Amy. I hope you find something better.

Forcing you to document/train your replacement is
horrible...it's worse than having to get a switch from
a tree for your parents to give you a whooping...

Good luck in your new job search...one good thing is
that the economy does seem to be improving and I'm
seeing new jobs here and there...so, hopefully, you'll
find something even better quickly!!
