I think you can get a good glimpse of SQL2005 through the "SQL Server
Express" edition. It can be found here:

If you are a MSDN Universal subscriber, you can get it from the MSDN
Downloads site. Otherwise, you're out of luck. They've given it out at a
few users conferences, but has not been made available to the entire
community yet. Beta 3 should be out in the spring, and it will most likely
be freely available.
