Check you SQL Server Error logs, and the Event logs on both servers.
You should get a better description of what went wrong.

There are times the Copy Database Wizard is useful. If you are moving
to a server with a different default collation or a different domain,
the wizard helps in converting properly. If you are just upgrading to a
bigger server, it is even easier to just detach the databases, copy
them, then attach them on the new server. Detach/Attach will also be
easier if you are moving files to a different location (drive or
directory).
