RE: Backup Recommendations

RE: Backup Recommendations

Yes it is an "option" to allow data loss.....

If you need point-in-time recovery, you need TLOG backups.

Subject: Backup Recommendations [faked-from]

Hello experts!

WE have a third party application+database installed by Consultants.
They
have a maintenance plan that performed a full backup weekly and an
incremental every day. They do not create a backup for the transactions
logs. My understanding if we need to go back in time whenever performing
a
recovery, we need to also have the transaction logs. The consultants'
argument in that it is optional. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
