All,

We will be setting up an application that uses SS log shipping; MS
recommends using a 3rd server for the 2 Monitor utilities; does anyone
have it configured using only a source and target server? (but then you
wouldn't be notified when the source server goes down, right?) We don't
want to buy a third server and SS license just for monitor; if I
designate another production server as a monitor for the new app, would
it add a heavy load?
