You'll need to shrink the database, either through Enterprise Manager or
using a sql statement on query analyzer.

Subject: Help on Size of MDF File
Hello, All
I have a 45 GB SQL 2000 Server DB .
I am planing to move some data to a new DB on the same server and
deleting the data from the 45GB DB .
Once I detele the data from 45GB DB , would my MDF file size go down
from 45GB?
If not, Is there any way to reduce the allocated size of MDF once you
delete data from the DB.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
