Trying to install SQL Server Client Tools on Windows XP. Get this error
message:

"A previous program installation created pending file operations on the
installation machine. You must restart the computer before running
setup."

We've been restarting computer for several weeks now as a normal course
of using the computer but the error message still shows and keeps us
from installing the client tools.

Any ideas?
