If it were me it would hinge on what gets me the closest to last good
live environment. No matter what you do watch out for corruption if it
was a disk or raid controller that went bad.

Subject: Recovery procedures
Does anyone have any written SQL database recovery procedures or know of
a
site I can refer to in the event of Hardware failure. Such is the case
if I
had to totally recover my sql database from a tape device.
I suppose my first step would be repair the hardware.
Reload all necessary operating sys applications after configuring
hardware
etc....
Reload sql
At this point I'm not sure if it's best to restore my mdf & ldf files
from
the tape backup or my bak files from my database backups?????
Thank you in advance for your help.
