SQL Server 3000/7.0

SQL Server 3000/7.0

Hallo DBA's

I currently administer SQL Server 7.0 databases. We have now had some
applications which will run under SQL Server 2000, which I am required to
administer also. I don't think it is possible to administer SQL Server 7.0
databases from a machine running under 2000. I believe this is because 2000
has facilities which 7.0 would not be able to handle. As we now have a mix
of 7.0 and 2000, this means I will not be able to update my machine to 2000
and administer both systems from the same machine..

Can anyone confirm this, and perhaps suggest a way out of this problem.
