Sounds like you're running the wrong setup program. Sounds like you're
running the Windows 2000 setup program.
Make sure your DOS window is in the same directory as the MSDE setup
program or use the full path for the setup program.

Subject: MSDE Install
Hi,
I am trying to install MSDE for the first time, without too much
success. When I run the below command, I get a blue Windows 2000 Setup
screen, with a Usage box in the middle, giving me a list of the various
switches that can be used during setup. I then click ok, and it goes
back to my DOS window, with nothing happening!
setup sapwd="mypwd" DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0 securitymode=sql
DATADIR="E:\DBA\Data" TARGETDIR="E:\DBA\Install"
Does anyone know what is happening here? Am I missing a step somewhere?
John
