take the SQL being run, open up query analyser and start looking closly at
your explain plans.
lookup help regarding set STATISTICS and TIMING.
be very careful creating lots of indexes (or altering existing) purely for
the single sql statement,
you need to look holistically, consider profiler and passing results through
index tuning wizard
for "guidence" only.
