RE: Moving local packages to new server

RE: Moving local packages to new server

There is a wonderful free program from sqldts.com, I recommend it. Or
you can save each dts to it's own file by using the save as in the
design of the packages. Otherwise you will need to restore the master DB
to retrieve all of your jobs and DTS packs. Not an easy task or possibly
not the right one for your situation.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Moving local packages to new server

Hello Gurus,

We've moved databases to a new server. The problem is I don't know how
to
move the local packages, which are scheduled to run at specific times on
a
daily basis, to the new server. I looked over past emails from other
people
in this list. I see a few that suggested using DTS, but I don't see
instructions on how to do this. If possible, would someone let me know
how
I can move these packages over?

Thank you for your help.
