Check BOL there is a procedure for doing this.

So if my master, msdb, model and tempdb databases are not set up
correctly, how do I move them? Sp_detach doesn't seem to work on those.

Run sp_who2 in QA and find out what is using it. If you simple have the
DB selected in EM then you are using it, or if you have open in one of
your QA windows then you are using it.

Ok, I am trying to detach a test database and when I execute the command


Exec sp_detach_db 'test2'

It tells me that the db is in use. Nobody is using it. What am I doing
wrong?
