I haven't seen this before. Did you try executing this without a Fill
Factor?

Like this, dbcc dbreindex (table_name)

running dbcc dbreindex (table_name,' ',80) did not make any changes to
the
scan density (which was 50 to begin with). Any tips on why and what to
