Agreed, 2K5 is lacking in features that we used to have in 2K
(scripting objects to single file being the biggest *miss* of all) and a
couple other things that appear to have gotten tossed by the wayside
(how about existance checking when generating a script (helllooooo???)).
I also miss my individual tools...why does it *all* have to be jammed
into the WB? And why is it that every form in the WB is now sizeable,
but the monstrosity Profiler objects/events form isn't????

SMO defenitly is not as fast as DMO (but thankfully that's still
there for backward compat), nor is it as easy to write SMO when compared
to DMO in t-sql; but I'm just getting started with SMO.
BOL, SQL forums/sites and the MSDN forums are about the best I'm
finding, plus kludging my own way around/through things. MSDN seems to
be one of the better places, but getting responses can be sporadic,
depending on how easy/difficult the question is...
It could be better, sure. But it could always be worse, are you
in production with it yet? I am... :)

Subject: SQL2005 Resources?
Okay, I'm fed up with this new and improved SQL 2005. Does anyone have
any other resources than MSDN and books online? There is just nothing in
there.
And how about scripting objects? What's up with THAT? The GUI sucks big
time and using SMO is s....l.....o......w
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Really, though, thanks for any help anyone has to offer!
