This is what we use. It works great and doesn't need the updates.

I may not have been clear about the client I am using. I am using an Outlook
2002 exchange client.

Hello everybody,
Currently, I am using the MAPI Exchange client on my SQL Server database
servers for notifications. Does anybody know if there is a good
stripped down version of a MAPI client tool that does not require the
rigorous installs and service pack updates that will work with SQL
Server 2000?
Thanks,
Beth
