RE: stored procedures

RE: stored procedures

After you've tested it, put the schema and procedures into the model database, if (and only if) you expect all your databases look the same. Either that, or your suggestion of building a shell database, you could script it, and run the script to create other databases.

Subject: stored procedures

Gentlemen & Ladies

I have an accounting system with several companies.

Each company has it's own database.

Up to this point, I have stored procedures scattered willy-nilly
everywhere. I want to organize them.

Specifically, I want them organized so the can be equally accessible
across all companies.

I think I will set up a shell company whose purpose is to house
stored procedures and user defined functions

How would 'best practices' suggest I handle this?

Or, how would the best of you guys handle this?

Thanks Much

Arnie
