Hi Chip,

Method A: Create a separate Development Server. Use DTS or RESTORE to
create DB structure and data. Grant sa to that developer which needs on
this box. After two weeks, turn that Development Server OFF!

Method B: Tell the developer you are happy to work with him/her, and he/she
can sit with you at your desk and capture the trace at your earliest
possible convenience.

Method B id preferred. Method A gives away too much, and developers have a
tendency not to clean up after themselves or to create back doors into
servers and processes.
