Hi,
I have also nothing but good things to say about Litespeed. I use it on a
many databases. With empresses speed and size savings. The largest database
which I use it on is 90GB, I get a "bak" file of 15GB, it takes about 1-2
hours to back it up where it used to take 10+ hours.
I really recommend it. Get the evaluation copy and try it.

Iain

I've been using SQL Litespeed for about 6 months, now. I have nothing but
good things to say about it, thus far.

The speed with which it completes my backups is incredible and the storage
space it saves is invaluable. It also affords me the opportunity of taking
additional FULL backups during slower parts of the day, if needed.

Restores take a little longer than normal SQL Restores because decompression
of the file must take place, but that is not where the value lies in this
product. You spend much more time backing up than you do restoring. (The
extra time is actually pretty insignifcant.)

I do not have many large databases, though. My largest is about 9 GB, but
I'm running about 65 databases on one server with an average size of about 1
GB. Litespeed gets the backup jobs done in less than an hour, whereas the
normal SQL Backups had to be staggered, and would take up to 5 hours to
complete. The backup files themselves are about 85-90% smaller, in size than
before. (ex. The 9GB database full backup is about 1.5 GB in size.)
