Hi,
Anyone have experience/skills/resources troubleshooting installation of Sql
2000 on clusters?
I managed the first cluster OK a couple of weeks ago, and now I can't get
the second installation to complete correctly. The NT cluster works fine; no
problem with users/domains etc.
The installation goes through normally, it churns away for about 20
minutes... and I then get the vague, useless message box reporting that the
installation was not able to perform all the required operations on the
nodes of the cluster. And de-installs itself.
The last time I had this problem, it turned out to be caused by using
Terminal Server to do the installation remotely, and worked OK when I
installed directly on the servers' consoles. This is not the problem this
time.
I have looked everywhere I can think of for clues, the only thing I can see
is that there appear to be user rights error messages in the cluster.log
file, but they are so prolix as to be impossible to interpret, to me anyway.
