Subject: Problems starting MSSQLSERVER using domain account
08/26/2003 08:54
AM
Guys, We are running SQL SERVER 2000 on Win2K server.
After running Microsoft Security patch, whenever I am
trying to restart the SQL SERVICES, i get Error 5:
Access Denied. Services need to restart using domain
account since I am running backups on another server.
The service starts fine using Local System account.
But I really need this to be started using domain
account. Any idea why this is failing? This domain
account is also defined within SQL SERVER.
Thanks for your input.
