Subject: Full-test search question
Hi,
I'm new to Full-text search and have a question i hope someone can
answer.
I have full text search implemented on 2 servers. There are no problems
with the Mssearch service on either server and the population jobs run
at regular intervals. No problem there. Both servers are registered in
my remote enterprise manager console. From my EM console, in the
support services directory, the service displays itself as stopped but
it is running on the server! If I try to start the service from EM I
get the error message 'An error 5 - (Access denied) occured while
performing this service operation on the MSSearch service'.
I'm thinking this is because we use mixed authentication and the
MSSearch service on the servers is owned by the NT administrator login.
Is there some work around for this? Or have I just missed somthing in
the configuration of EM or the MSSearch service? Or is it something
completely different?
regards,
Marc
