First time having to restore a publisher db, I disabled the log agent and restored the publisher database. The result was error msg: 'The LSN (52367:1178:1) passed to log scan in database 'HSST' is invalid'.

So I guess that means that there were transactions still in the distribution database that post-dated the publisher database? So what SHOULD I have done, restored the publisher and the distribution database at the same time?

What I did was to drop the publication and re-create it, so everything is okay now, but would like to know what the proper restore practice is for transactional-replication dbs.
