RE: Memo to INT

RE: Memo to INT

Sorry. The field type of NTEXT. I want to just query the data and store
it in another column as an int.

You were close, though. This is an MSSQL application, but the original
platform was Access.

How do I extract the INT value from the NTEXT field?

Mike:

I assume you're talking about MS Access?

You can just change the data type of the field from Memo to Number and
all the values should automatically convert.

Our project management system stores all of the user preferences in a
memo field. Is there a way to scrub the field down to an integer field?
I know the contents of the column are actually an integer. I need to use
this for some comparisons, and it's driving me crazy.
