It sounds like your database is set to Full backup mode and you aren't doing
any backups. You need to either backup your database, or set your database
to Simple mode.

Subject: Size of Log File and response time
Hello,
I am having a problem with the size of my log file.
It is growing at a very high rate. The size of the data file is only 600MB
where as the log file is at 6GB. please How can I restrict this size to
minimum. and If I change the autogrow option, is it going to make some
adverse affect on database. please help me. I have very sensitive data in my
database. More over the users are also complaining that the response has
also become slow. I have checked it . Is it because of the log file. How can
I improve the response time
