Please check the event logs to find out further details about the error. Did you use alter statements to repoint the db's to the right location.

If all doesn't work just reinstall sql on d drive and attach all db's manually. Make sure you applu service packs.

I was in process of moving all database from c to d
drive
by going through below link

i am able to move master, tempdb and userdatabases
when i moving model db
To add trace flag 3608 as a SQL Server startup
parameter
Stop and restart SQL Server without starting Sqlserver
agent
Detach the model database
using sp_detach_db 'model'

moved from c to d
and Reattach the model database
and removed trace flag 3608 as a SQL Server startup
parameter
and stoped the sqlserver when i try to start its not
starting
wht might be the problem pls
help
