I have noticed that when SP4 is installed SQL gets stopped. Best to do
it in the off times. And make sure you have a full backup of ALL your
databases, including Master etc.

Subject: Installing SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4
I have a production database that needs to be updated to SP4. I've never
installed an upgrade for SQL Server. Should this be done during off
times?
Have there been any issues that anyone has noticed after installing SP4?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
MG
