Am using SQL 2005
Can't use Enterprise Manager.
Have done this plenty times in SQL 2000...however SQL 2005 not working.
I have checked the Service Patches. None have been applied.
I think therin lies the problem.
Thanks for the Reply
John

the existing datbase?
You have to force the restore. If you're using Enterprise Manager
there is a checkbox on the second tab of SS2000 for forced overwrite.
I can't remember the syntax if you're doing this from Query Analyzer,
but you can cut and paste from Books Online. It tells you how there.
