This is standard Microsoft - You need to have a domain for anything to work correctly.

You need to have a share on each server that the sql server service account can access.

I am sure there are ways round it, but we ended up doing custom stuff with FTP scripts - not very nice.

I´m trying to configure log shipping between two servers that are not in a domain , but in a workgroup. I receive the message:

Unable to copy the initialization file to the secondary server XXXXX

Can anyone help me with this issue??
