Doesn't seem to be there. At least it is not on any drive that I can map to. I can only see the mssql directory and everything under it. I will have to get a sys admin to take a better look. Because the server is a domain controller, my access is limited. We used it to run a tool called fastlane migrator. Apparently when we first installed the tool had to be installed on a domain controller and needed an SQL 7 database.
Thanks.

Subject: SQL 7 with sp3, upgrading to sp4
Hi,
We have an installation of SQL 7 with sp3 and we are trying to apply service pack 4. The service pack starts to run, but then seems to just sit there forever. It never starts to run any of the upgrade scripts. After a long time we just end it. The server is a domain controller and it is running Windows 2000.
We have successfully applied sp4 to other installations of SQL 7 with sp3.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thanks very much for all replies.
Bev.
