RE: Shrink my log file!!

RE: Shrink my log file!!

This has consistently worked for me.
Back it up afterwards....

use dc
go

checkpoint
go

backup log dc with truncate_only
go

dbcc shrinkfile ('DC_Log',TRUNCATEONLY)
go

select * from sysfiles order by name
go

Even if you do a full backup right before? Or do I not want to do a
backup right before? Since it might be storing my bloated log file??
Or do I want my bloated log file?
