For SA and SERVICE accounts, we use rule of ANNUAL or WHEN DBAs LEAVE
position as standard. If you have company or external auditors, you may
want their opinion so you don't get write-ups.

Happy Friday Lazy DBAs,



I hope everyone has fantastic weekend plans that do not include working!



But... a quick question before you go: As a general rule, how often do
you change the passwords for the SA account and service accounts(if you
run the SQL Service under a domain account.)



Is there a recommendation or standard anywhere? I'm trying to decide
how oft they should be changed.
