RE: SQL Server Agent (Agent XPs disabled)

Do the system event logs give you any indication of what's happening? Sounds
like an authentication issue to me. Make sure that the service is being
started with the correct authority (username/password). Type them in again
if necessary at the services.msc applet, after you have verified that they
work of course. It's easy to verify, just use "runas /user:<domain\login>
cmd" from a command window.
If you get a new cmd window, the username/password pair is valid.

Subject: SQL Server Agent (Agent XPs disabled)

On SQL 2005 sp 2
SQL Server agent will not stay running
no error logs created

If you use sp_configure to set AgentXPs to 1 it changes back to 0 again

any ideas???

thanks
