Thanks. I was leaning towards either restoring from the other instance or just copyimg from the install CD but wasn't sure of the impacts.

No backups? If you can export what packages you have, and look over your
maintenance plans, then do so. From here, either copy the msdb files from
your install CD and use these for your instance (reapply SP's thereafter),
or restore the msdb from another instance and review the originating server
column in sysjobs (from memory here).
