Ramesh,

A database consists of an .mdf file (data) and an .ldf file (transaction log). A Full Database Backup creates a .bak file containing everthing from the data and log files at time of backup. To restore a database use the .bak file as your source. Look in Books Online (BOL) under Backup and Restore for all you need to know on the topic.

Hi All,







Suppose I have Full DataBase Backup and also have .mdf and .LDF file
for the DataBase .



Now we need to restore the Database.



Please suggest which is better for me either Full DataBase Backup or
(.MDF and .LDF file) which one is choose and better for me.

Why?
