Not 100% on this one, but this happens most of the time on REINDEX ... I
"think" it has something to do with the amount of space required to do the
sort and rebuild of PKEY's ... A full backup with a SHRINKDB should put it
back to normal size ... I haven't found any doc's on this so this is the
only reason I have been able to come up with as to why it happens ... Wait
'till you REINDEX a 70 gigger ...

The only issue I can think of is your growth settings for your DB, I bet you
have a % growth?? - I tend to regard this has bad practice, consider locking
yourself into a fixed size for ease of management.
