Can you forecast how "very large" very large might be?
Are you searching in a text field, or varchar, or all fields in the table?
Are you searching for a string, or rows containing at least one occurence of each word in the string?

I am looking at implementing a search function on one table. Currently, I am
think that I will just create a SQL SPROC that will perform a SELECT based
on the input from a web form. The table will grow to be very large, is there
a better way to do this? Use a full text catalog?
