Morgan,

If you have SQL2k then you can use EM.

1. start Em
2. right click with the mouse on the server instance you need to change the
default.
3. select the tab labeled 'Database Setting', at the bottom you will see
'New Database default Setting' for data and log.

Would anyone know how to modify the model database so the default path for
the data file is D:\ and the default path for the transaction log it E:\
