What version of SQLServer and the Windows operating system are you using?
Does your database have file groups?
What I would do if I was you - take a look at the script that runs as
part of the database backup maintenance plan and try duplicating that in
the restore.
In the past, when we set up our back/restore of our production database
to our reporting database server - we created a separate backup job and
named the backup, so we didn't have to figure out the current
maintenance plan name which included date/time stamp ~ ex: proddb.bak.
