RE: Replication

RE: Replication

Hi,

Looks like you are configuring PULL Subsribtion,

From Server A to B
And Server A to C

Server A to server B is configured.
See , for Server A to server C, I Could explain you the process via
Enterprice manager, Goto Server C and create distributor( looks like you
have already created), Goto Server C-> Replication-> Configure....
Select Option, you will get the window for configuration, Can set up
Distributor there.

And after setting up the destructor.
As you're a is already a publisher so just be on server C and right
select the Replication->Subscriber->New Pull Subscription...

And configure the subscriber.

My one cent.:)

HTH.

Thank you.

Subject: Replication

Hi,

I currently replicate data from Server A (SQL2k) to Server B (SQL2K),

with the distributor at B

I know want to start replicating data from Server A to Server C

(SQL2005) with the distributor at C.

When I set up replication I don't normally get the option of C as a

distributor (it is configured at C as one) and when I run:

Exec sp_adddistributor @distributor = 'Server C' ,@password ='XXX'

It says "Repl_ditributor" already exists (the name of the linked server

in for A --> C).

how can I run the SP to create a different named entry in sysservers to

mark server C as another distributor?!

Any help appreciated.

Many thanks

Rick
