Shot in the dark...Try it with the WITH NO_LOG syntax. TRUNCATE_ONLY and
NO_LOG are the same thing.

Hello,
I am trying to backup a log to truncate it. I am using the commands
below
but both give me the errors. The other databases on the server didn't
have
this problem.
BACKUP LOG SIM WITH TRUNCATE_ONLY
Server: Msg 170, Level 15, State 1, Line 1
Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 'SIM'.
BACKUP LOG [SIM] WITH TRUNCATE_ONLY
Server: Msg 170, Level 15, State 1, Line 3
Line 3: Incorrect syntax near 'SIM'.
Any ideas on how to get this to work?
Thank
Iain
