RE: Transaction Log ...

RE: Transaction Log ...

Does anyone have an example of setting NO LOGGING for an SQL Statement? I
have a user who's running purges and it's killing my TransLog. Any help
would be appreciated.

No, you can't. The only way to do it is to set truncate log on checkpoint
option on, and then do the load in batches. BCP has a batch size parameter
to help you do this.

Does anyone know if it is possible to switch off the Transaction log in SQL
Server 7.0, in order to run a massive load program, for example, and if so
how do you do it?

Phil.
